This first visit, or "get acquainted" examination is most important in helping determine the degree of need and provides an opportunity to become familiar with various aspects of orthodontic treatment.

We are pleased to offer this clinical examination and chairside review complimentary to all prospective patients. At this appointment, questions regarding what orthodontics can achieve, various modes of treatment and generalities regarding treatment programmes will be answered.

The complex nature of orthodontic therapy means that treatments are often variable from one patient to the next. Orthodontics is an exact science so guesswork without proper planning may lead to improper treatment and disappointment.

Specifics regarding individualized treatment approaches, treatment duration and cost are often best discussed after suitable diagnostics records such as radiographs, study models, and photographs have been taken and evaluated.

This will allow an appropriate treatment programmed to be customized to give the most satisfying final result. A fee will be levied for the gathering and analysis of these diagnostics aids.

For your convenience, time has been set aside at the first visit to allow for the collection of diagnostic materials when needed. We will also be pleased to reschedule this segment for another appointment if it is more appropriate.
