The health and well-being of our patients and entire community is, and always has been our top priority.
In keeping with this mandate and after discussions with The Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, Dr. Schacher and staff have decided to postpone all procedures here at Tropical Orthodontics for an unspecified period of time. It is our sincere hope that this will be a short term shut down.
some unforeseen emergencies will arise, and we will have the necessary support staff here at our practice to deal with this. Unforeseen emergencies are categorized as anything that is causing severe discomfort/pain.
Should you require emergency assistance please rest assured that our facility remains safe as we continue to practice our standard infection control procedures, including hospital- grade sterilization and high-level disinfection including hospital grade and anti-viral air purification.
Please assist us in reducing the risk of COVID-19 spread by respecting the following protocols should you absolutely require emergency care due to pain:
- If you have a fever, or even-mild flu-like symptoms, do not come to our office. Please call us to reschedule.
- If you have travelled outside Canada recently or have potentially been exposed to COVID-19, do not come to our office. Please call us to reschedule 14 days or later after your return.
- We ask that only the patient enter the office when possible and that relatives and friends wait outside. For young children we ask that only 1 parent attend.
- We ask that everyone use the provided hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting our office.
We will keep you posted with any additional updates. You will be notified when our office resumes a regular schedule. Thank you for your understanding during this significant worldwide health issue!
